At the end of the day, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) is built in to everything we do.

Regardless of what the purpose of the Website is when clients first engage us, almost all of the solutions we build rapidly become Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solutions. That is, the Website becomes more of a tool to assist the organization in keeping the relationship with the customer base sound.

For example, a client may approach us about building an e-commerce store for their new business. This business will be entirely online based. Once completed, and after a few months, they will start to request features that technically have nothing to do with the direct action of customers buying products. They may ask us to build a feature that allows orders to be sent directly to their suppliers at the click of a button (resulting in faster order fulfillment) or they may ask us to set up a feature to track leads (resulting in new customers and a stronger business).

One way or another, the Website eventually becomes the ground floor for overall management of the business - not just Add to Cart >> Checkout.

As a result, we often find ourselves adding the same types of functionality to a Member Registration System as we would to an e-ommerce store. There is a lot of crossing-over but, at the end of the day, it is all about customers.
