Custom Content Management Systems (CMS)

A Content Management System (CMS) allows a Website administrator to update their own Website. The phrase "CMS" has gained in popularity in recent years as blogs have become more popular and people needed a way to manage their own Website content on a daily basis without the need of a programmer. However; CMS solutions have existed since day one of the Internet.

Any feature on the back-end of a Website, such as a feature that will allow you to add/edit store items, uses a CMS. It does not always apply to static pages.

But, as stated, when most people say "CMS" they are referring to a way to manage their static Website pages, such as the "About Us" page or the "Privacy Policy" page, and allow them to add rich formatting and imagery if they choose.

We have implemented many Content Management Systems for various clients and various purposes. A common feature of a CMS (especially for static page management) is the What You See Is What You Get (WYSIWYG) editor that mimics the rich formatting of Microsoft WORD. There are many of WYSIWYG editors on the market and many are free. Some clients prefer to pay a minor fee for a little nicer interface and advanced features. For others, the free ones will work just fine.

A CMS feature for managing static pages on your Website is very easy to set-up (in most cases) and we will build the CMS to allow you to add search engine optimization to your pages.
