TConsult is owned and operated by Rob Taylor.
Rob builds data-driven Websites with ASP.NET and helps companies implement sound business
practices for starting and sustaining an effective & profitable Website.
TConsult has provided Internet Development & Consulting services since late 1997.
At the present time, all new application development is done with ASP.NET
and usually with Microsoft SQL Databases on the back-end.
TConsult (Taylor Consulting) was started while Rob was enrolled in the Geographic Information Systems program at the University
of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho. The business actually began via a snafu in the registration department at the University. He was
incorrectly put in to a Senior Level course dealing with integrating Geographic Information Systems and the World Wide Web in
his Freshman year. The instructor let Rob stay in the class and after a few weeks of building Web pages he was hooked.
At first he did simple Web design
(who we are, what we do Websites) for the University and people around the town of Moscow, Idaho where the University was located.
He soon switched to data-driven development as his programming skills evolved at the University and Microsoft's Active Server Pages
began to take off.
Since that time, Rob and TConsult have provided development and consulting services for many
different kinds of businesses across the United States. In December of 2000, Rob moved
the business back to New York where he is originally from. TConsult is located in the
Finger Lakes Region of New York, 30 miles South of Rochester.
Rob's contributions to Web development go far beyond just writing code. He also operates a Website Named
OutsideTheCode.com where he discusses important business strategies for Website owners based
on his extensive experience.
Rob is also an outdoor enthusiast at heart and makes the following contributions to the Outdoor World
- Empire Hunting - An online community for the hunters of New York State.
- IceSkimmer.com - An online store that sells ice fishing items that helps Rob
to keep his skillset sharp and also allows him to ice fish all year.
